We always say that the king of the Pop is Michael Jackson. But do you know who is the king of the Rap US? No? So, I’ll tell you… TUPAC. Yes, Tupac is the king of Rap US. Some people will think that Biggie is better than him, but by consulting several polling sites we can see that Tupac remains stronger than Biggie. But before you know their relationship, let me introduce you to this famous Rap King.

Lesane Parish Crooks by his birth name, Tupac Amaru Shakur by his star name was born on 16 June 1971 in New York. Her mother, Afeni Shakur, was a member of the Black Panther Party, a revolutionary African-American liberation movement.
Tupac didn’t have a childhood like everyone else. He grew up with his mother, his little sister Sekyiwa and his stepfather Mutulu Shakur, also a member of the Black Panther Party.

One Christmas night the FBI comes into their home to arrest Mutulu wanted for some time. After this milestone event for Afeni, Tupac and his family fell into poverty. To provide for the good of these children, Afeni started selling drugs. To become addicted, Tupac send his mother in detox.
One of Tupac’s favorite lessons was the theatre which later led him to become an actor, poet and writer. In 1991 he was his first
participation in the film «Tribunal Fantôme». But the films to which he was successful as an actor are:

Tupac started rap through the band Digital Underground

The first album released in 1991 during his solo career is «2Pacalypse Now»

. This album is one of the most successful accompanied by his last album released before his death «All Eyez on me»

one of the best and important albums in 1960. In all he made 5 studio albums, 2 live albums, 10 compilations, 1 EP, 36 singles, 40 video clips, 5 posthumous albums, 2 collaboration albums, 2 remixes albums, 1 soundtrack and 1 video album. Let’s talk about some of the problems Tupac may have encountered in his career.
First, we have justice. Yes, our Rap King had many serious legal problems. One thing to know, is that our star, most of these songs talk about a childhood born of violence and misery in the ghettos, racism, social problems and conflicts with other rappers. He campaigned throughout his career for racial egalitarianism. Two songs caused him problems:
Brenda’s got a baby ( https://youtu.be/NRWUs0KtB-I ) about a 12-year-old girl who got pregnant with her cousin who was her attacker at the same time. Over time she fell in love with him and thought they were going to end her life with him and have a princess life. But everyone turned their backs on Brenda, and she’ll end up giving birth on the bathroom floor. This song explains the trouble of the Ghetto that the American justice system ignores. The American white people thought this song would influence many girls to make the same mistake.
I get around ( https://youtu.be/YqJAnQTwmJs ) A pretty vulgar song about women. During his career Tupac met a woman with whom he dated but spent most of his time having sex with. One day this woman fabricated false accusations against Tupac before the court. accusing him of assault, rape, abuse. To defend himself, he released the song «Keep your head up» to which he told the story that his little sister goes through and the galleys that a woman can encounter. In this song he gets motivate all the women with their heads lowered, who feel belittled, where came the title «Keep your head up»
On November 30, 1994, on his way to the studio in the hall, a group of armed men shot him in the thigh, belly, hand and head. Despite coming out of the hospital in a wheelchair with a bandaged hand and a skull, he came out guilty of his ex’s charge. He will serve 18 months in a maximum security prison.
Let us now come to his relationship with Biggie. Tupac and Biggie were

best friend inseparable. There was no Tupac without Biggie or Biggie without Tupac. During his time in prison, his so-called “best friend” took the opportunity to steal his success and fame to move from Biggie to The Notorious B.I.G.

During his time in prison, the director of Death Row Records Suge Knight offered him a contract and Tupac accepted. And from that day on Tupac’s life changed. Upon entering Death Row Records, he entered the West Coast.
What the hell is the West Coast?
West Coast rap is a genre of Californian hip-hop music created in the 1980s. The East Coast/West Coast rivalry was a tense climate that lasted from 1991 to 1997 and pitted rappers from the west coast of the United States against rappers from the east coast. It resulted in the assassination of the two main artists on both sides: Tupac Shakur (from Death Row Records) in 1996, and that of The Notorious B.I.G. (from Bad Boy Records) in 1997.

This famous September 7, 1996♥
Seeing that he began to come to life in rap after 11 months in prison, Tupac began to be the target of shots. After a very big fight which broke out this famous September 7, 1996 for target and Tupac, his gold chain was stolen which made him a member of the Death row Records. The US rap king decided to go back to the hotel to change, to end this fight.

But on that day, his wife Keisha Morris was opposed. If only he had listened to him… In the car with Suge Knight, Suge wanted to listen to rap, but Tupac completely changed the mood with Ghetto Gospel. « mista- Blackberry molasses » https://youtu.be/1u6eVJHzqwg . As they strolled into the car, they stopped at a red light. At the red light, a car next to them also stopped and started shooting Suge and Tupac. Tupac was taken to the city hospital and died of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest on 13 September 1996.
That day was very memorable and moving for his fans but also for the rap. Not only does he lose his king, but he also loses a poet and cultural icon. His life, his success, his problems with justice and his assassination at the height of his glory contribute to his status as a street poet, mysterious and melancholic and make Tupac a cultural icon.
